Our mission at Safran Electronics Canada is to be a preferred supplier of aerospace electronic systems. To achieve this, our aim is also to be a preferred employer who offers a challenging, positive work environment in which employees are encouraged to use their talents to work creatively together and to pursue continuous learning as they grow and progress in their careers. We also recognize that our continued success is dependent on having a strong, diverse team that clearly demonstrates integrity, a commitment to excellence and determination to meet our business goals.
At Safran Electronics Canada, we also recognize the importance of having fun together and our employees have formed an active 'Social and Athletic' committee that organizes monthly social events onsite and offsite, as well as several sports teams. Some of these events include barbeques, multicultural potluck lunches, dinner boat cruises, golf tournaments, and holiday parties.
Not only do we apply our best efforts within Safran Electronics Canada, but also as partners in the Peterborough community. We participate in the local United Way campaign, the Peterborough’s Festival of Trees and Festival of Lights and have formed an employee team that participates in the local and international Dragonboat races in support of local breast cancer screening and treatment. We are also have with Sir Sanford Fleming College a bursary in support of students pursuing technology careers.

The Human Resources Policy is designed to facilitate individual career development and a collective contribution to the company's success. With the development of our Fast Forward career and skills management initiatives and a stronger mobility policy, this company supports all of our employees by ensuring the development of job skills.
Safran Electronics Canada, an aerospace leader, is a prominent partner in the 'Ryerson Institute for Aerospace Design and Innovation" (RIADI). This program launched in 2003, provides students with opportunities to work on collaborative industry driven design and research projects. The company is also heavily involved with similar type initiatives at Waterloo University. We feel there are significant contributions to our company through this involvement.
Training and development programs and initiatives have been set up with Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough where our employees are enrolled to enhance/upgrade their current skills and competencies.
There are also expatriate opportunities where we have employees transfer to our offices in France.
