Safran Electronics Canada’s Occupational Health & Safety Policy Statement

People are Safran Electronics Canada’s most important resource and their safety is one of our principal responsibilities. Safety is an integral part of all operations, whether it is planning, development, manufacturing, administrative, sales, or transportation. Accidents and industrial illness causing bodily harm have no place in modern industry.

The health, safety, and well-being of every person working at Safran Electronics Canada is of prime importance. Consequently, it is the policy of this company to maintain the workplace in such a way that it is a safe and healthy environment in which to work. Safety will take precedence over expediency or short cuts that may be hazardous or harmful. The provisions of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and any pertaining Regulations or Codes which affect the workplace, are to be adhered to or exceeded. Every attempt will be made to reduce the possibility of a loss occurring to any person, equipment or facilities.

 

Health and Safety in Action

Safran Electronics Canada is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace in which we are continuously striving to be free of accidents and to eliminate and/or control hazards that could adversely affect the health and safety of those within our facility. To achieve this commitment, we have developed and implemented a health and safety management system that includes a comprehensive occupational health and safety manual outlining responsibilities and a variety of related policy instructions. In addition, we offer several health and safety training programs and benefit from the active participation of our joint health and safety committee.

We are also striving to continuously learn and further enhance health and safety in our workplace. In doing so, Safran Electronics Canada is a member of the Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA)’s Scarborough Eastern Safety Group. The goal of this group is to share information and resources and to implement improvements within member companies that will reduce or eliminate the frequency and severity of workplace accidents.
